Learn from the expert on how to identify the warning signs and the most effective ways to survive
The number of Active Shooter incidents occurring in the workplace, school grounds, and public spaces continue to increase. Communities throughout New York are recognizing that more training must be done to prevent and mitigate these tragedies. This seminar provides instruction in the tactics and techniques one needs to know in order to survive the the first few critical minutes of an incident. It also covers vital information on how to recognize a potential incident and prevent it from occurring in the workplace and in schools, as well as the importance of establishing “Safe Rooms”, taking other pro-active measures, and detailed instruction in the three areas you need to know to survive…Run – Hide – Fight. Active Shooter Response Drills
Schools and workplaces tend to only teach “lock-in-place” methods in response to an active shooter incident. This technique only covers one aspect of surviving an active shooter incident and is not the most effective. It can create a “sitting duck” scenario if the shooter is already in the building.
Our active shooter seminars cover the more robust “run-hide-fight” technique, and we put them to practice in our active shooter drills. See below for an example of a real drill performed for a local library on Long Island:
